Vital Records

Bianchi Paralegal Services can assist you in obtaining vital records. Vital records are records of life events kept under governmental authority including marriage, birth and death certificates and are handled on a provincial level.

We will review and take any necessary steps that are required to ensure that your application for the vital document(s) needed meets processing requirements. Incorrect or missing information can delay the processing of all vital records. We will take care of the process from start to finish and ensure you get the documents that you need.

Birth Certificates

We can assist you in obtaining a new birth certificate for your child, or in replacing a lost or stolen birth certificate.

If the birth took place outside the Province of Ontario we can help you get the documents that you need by dealing with the Vital Statistics Office in the province or territory where the birth took place.

Marriage Certificates

Immediately after the marriage ceremony, the couple may receive a Record of Solemnization of Marriage from the person who performed the ceremony. This document includes the couple's names, the date of the marriage, the names of the witnesses and whether the marriage was performed under the authority of a licence or the publication of banns. It is important to know that this is not a marriage certificate or a legal record and that a marriage must be registered before you may apply f or a marriage certificate.

Death Certificates

The funeral director will issue copies of a proof of death that you can use in certain situations. There are some organizations, however, that may require an official death certificate from the Province of Ontario, Office of the Registrar General.

You may need an official death certificate or certified copy for settling an estate, insurance purposes, for access or termination of government services, i.e. health card, pension, voters´ list and for genealogy searches.
